Winnie
Collins
Winnie lives on West Battle Lake
after moving in late 2000 from Montevideo, Minnesota where she resided
with her husband and two sons for thirty five years. Winnie won
first place in the St. Paul, Minnesota Jaycees Best 100 as a senior in
high school. She attended the University of Minnesota .
After getting married, she moved to Montevideo where she raised her
two sons and was the office manager in her husband's office for twenty
years.
Winnie discovered the love of
watercolor painting as a result of taking a watercolor workshop
at the Art of the Lakes Gallery and has continued to take workshops
from a variety of teachers in Minnesota and California where she
spends her winters.
