I started painting in
adult evening class after my youngest child started kindergarten.
I wanted to learn more about composition and design, so I attended
Fergus Falls Community College and Moorhead State College. I have also
studied with several watercolor artists.
Art has been my passion. I have participated in numerous art competitions
and received many awards including being accepted in the Fine Arts Show
at the State Fair. I have had several one person shows. My
favorite mediums are oil, woodcuts and watercolor. It is difficult
to decide which one I like best. I enjoy drawing also. Most
of my paintings are from my drawings of this area.
My husband and I have three children and nine grandchildren. Painting
with me is a big thing when the children come to visit.
