Lynn Middleton-Koller

"They say you write to find out what you think; sometimes I think I paint to find out what I see.  I'm not much for taking photographs.  When something grabs me - an approaching storm or an unbelievably golden wheat field - I try to save the shapes and colors in my mind so I can get it all down later.  The paintings I love are emotional snapshots that "tug" between representation and abstraction, transparency and opacity, clarity and suggestion."
