Laurel Beth
McGowan grew up in Minnesota and she is now an elementary art
teacher for over 600 Kindergarten through 5th
grade students in Fountain, Colorado. She lives with husband Mike
and two daughters on five acres in Black Forest, near Colorado
Springs. She is inspired by the natural beauty of both areas.
Her passion
for creating has led her to experience many media, from stained
glass to Ukrainian Easter Eggs, soft sculpture to pottery. It is
batik, however, that has held her interest over all the years since
she was a child. She will show framed and matted original batik art,
some reproductions, and cards.
