Paula Sween has been
sewing garments for 40 years, and quilts for 10. Recently she combined
these two interests into quilted garments featuring original
patchwork. Her garments have won numerous prizes at local and regional
quilt shows. One coat, “Copper Canyon”, was accepted into the
American Quilters’ Society show in Paducah, Kentucky, one of the two
largest shows in the country.
Paula’s studio is a
corner of the porch in her lake home on Ottertail Lake, where she
spends the month of July. During the rest of the year, she works at
her “real” job of coordinator of services for talented and gifted
students in Appleton, Wisconsin.
